What is involved in receiving anti-wrinkle injections?
You will receive a full facial analysis and be asked to disclose details of your medical history and sign a consent form.

The skin will then be cleaned and the appropriate muscles marked out.

The injection needles are of a similar size to an insulin needle and generally do not required any analgesia however we use our own techniques to prevent any discomfort, redness or bruising.

There is no down time for anti-wrinkle injections.

What are the pre/post care requirements for anti-wrinkle injections?
During the week prior to treatment avoid taking any anti-inflammatory medications, supplements or consuming alcohol to minimise bruising or swelling.

Post-care instructions include:

Do not receive any facial/laser/microdermabrasion treatments for up to 10 days

Do not touch, manipulate or disturb the affected area

Do not lay down during the 4 hours immediately after treatment

Do not perform any strenuous activities until 6 hours after treatment

How long do anti-wrinkle injections take to work?
You should start to notice the effects of the anti-wrinkle injections after 4-5 days with the full effect taking place after one week.
How long to anti-wrinkle injections last for?
After your first treatment you can expect to experience results for 3-4 months depending on individual muscle strength and body metabolism. After regular treatments the effects are often felt for longer.
What is involved in receiving dermal fillers?
You will receive a full facial analysis and be asked to disclose details of your medical history and sign a consent form. The skin will then be cleaned and a prescription grade numbing cream will be applied.

The injection of dermal fillers is a sterile procedure. Once injected the filler is massaged around the target area to achieve desired results.

We use our own techniques to prevent any discomfort, pain or swelling. There is no down time for dermal fillers.

What are the pre/post care requirements for dermal filllers?
During the week prior to treatment avoid taking any anti-inflammatory medications, supplements or consuming alcohol to minimise bruising or swelling.

Post-care instructions include:

Avoid rigorous massage of the affected area

Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours post treatment

Avoid consuming excessive amounts of alcohol or salt to prevent swelling

If persistent swelling is present use a cool compress for 15 minutes every hour

Use Panadol for analgesia

Sleep face up and slightly elevated if swelling is present

How long do dermal fillers take to work?
Dermal fillers work instantaneously however some slight swelling or asymmetry may be present and will resolve after 1 or 2 weeks.
How long do dermal fillers last for?
Depending on individual metabolism dermal fillers generally last between 7-9 months.
